Simple Website Design Process
We can design and implement a website for your business, in as little as four steps:
1. A web design quote request is submitted online or by phone to Pendragon Interactive. Once we receive it, we will contact you back to discuss your order. An estimate is then e-mailed with a breakdown of costs. Once you have agreed to the costs, we will register the domain name (www.yourname.com).
2. We then move on to design a layout for your website design, and develop colour and font schemas. The proof will be e-mailed to you as a website link or by paper proof. After your review and approval, please include any suggestions and or changes and we will make the appropriate changes.
3. We will include your content information such as images, links, forms, etc. A new proof will be provided to you with as a completed website. Some links and forms may not be active until the final proof is approved. Once the final proof is approved, we will invoice you for the balance of the order. When payment is received, we will publish your site to your hosting account or to the hosting account we have established for you.
4. Your e-mail accounts will be activated if hosting is through Pendragon Interactive. We will send you your e-mail account details. You will have access to Web Mail (you can check your e-mail from any computer utilizing an internet connection). You will receive one month of maintenance (updates to site) at no charge such as image and text changes.
Making Changes To Your Website
'How often can I make changes to my website?'
This depends on the package you have chosen. If you decided to take the CMS pack , then it will include our simple to use CMS system, and you can make changes to the text as often as you like. If not, then we will make those changes for you. You can amend your website as many times as you like within the first month of purchasing. Changes after this will incur a small admin charge which will be agreed upon changing. You need to contact us at admin@pendragoninteractive.com to make changes.
'Can I add new images to my website?'
Yes, we can add any new images for you. These will need to be emailed to us. This is free for the first month, and subject to an admin charge after this period.
Lead Times
'How long will it take for my website to be complete?'
We ask you to give us 10 working days for all websites. Obviously, more complex sites could take longer than this, but we will discuss this during the consultation period.
'What if I would like some changes made to my finished website?'
You will be asked to approve your website once it is complete, so we know you are happy with it. If you're not entirely satisfied with it, let us know and we will make any changes that you require.
'How long would it take to make changes to my website?'
To make changes to your website it should take no longer than 48 hours as long as we have the information on the changes you would like to make.
Grants
'I've heard that grant funding may be available for small companies in South Wales. How do I obtain it?'
Small companies in South Wales can obtain grant funding for 50% of the cost of building their web site, up to £500. You will need to contact the Centre for Business at www.centreforbusiness.co.uk to discuss your requirements. You will need to obtain 2 quotes from web design companies in the area.
